Since the opening day of our grooming salon at Pet Friendly in Hilton, NY in June of 2008, the goal has been to offer the best service to both our clients and their two legged parents. Our professional groomers take one appointment at a time and each furry friend gets their full attention and is even hand dried. Although the state of New York doesn't require any groomer to be certified, we do. All of our groomers have gone through grooming school and are certified, which helps us give our clients the best service in the area.


In order to keep a stress free, safe environment for your best friend, we groom by appointment only and each pet is given a specific time based on breed and weight. Because each pet is an individual and requires a different amount of time to be completely groomed, prices will vary. A price range can be given prior to your first grooming based on the services you are requesting; however, we cannot give you a solid quote until we actually see your pet.


For the safety of all involved we require written proof of current rabies vaccine prior to any grooming service. All dogs must be on leash and all cats must be in a carrier. Please make sure your companion has a secure collar or harness with identification.

Groomer’s wages are commission based. If you do not show up for your appointment, or cancel last minute, not only do we lose out on fitting in another customer, but our groomer loses income as well. This is why Pet Friendly has a strict cancellation policy to protect our groomers.

Our cancellation policies are as follows:


PLEASE NOTE – We do not accept changes or cancellations to appointments via email or social media. You must call the store at (585) 366-4242.


• Changing an appointment with less than 24 hour notice is subject to a 25 dollar fee
• Same day cancellation 50% of the grooming fee will apply
• No shows (meaning no phone call or calling after the appointment has already started) 100% of the full grooming fee will apply.
• If a client fails to cancel or show up 2 times within a 12 month period we will require the client to pay the full cost of the groom up front if they wish to book an appointment. This charge will not be refunded if they do not follow our cancellation policy guidelines.


Late Arrivals


We are only able to perform the grooming services for your pet in the time allotted for your scheduled appointment. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late to your scheduled appointment, we may not be able to perform your scheduled grooming services and you may need to reschedule your appointment so that we can stay on schedule with our other clients. If time allows, an additional fee may apply in order to complete a full groom. Same day cancellation policy will apply if we have to reschedule your appointment due to late arrival.

Jill Wolf: We have our dogs (two golden retrivers) groomed by Danielle at Pet Friendly and she is the BEST! Our male dog, Jack, is extremely well mannered, but will cry if our female dog, Piper, is out of his sight. Danielle knows and while Piper is being groomed will let Jack sit by her and watch patiently. Danielle even went out of her way to try a new brush with Jack's crazy undercoat because she knew it was an issue we had. We can't say enough great things about Danielle at Pet Friendly!

Alana is a certified dog groomer. She graduated from the Rochester Institute of Dog Grooming, and has been working with Pet Friendly since 2010. She has experience grooming all breeds and many breed standard cuts. Alana will work with you to achieve the best and most appropriate cut for your dog, and always makes sure they feel comfortable throughout. Laura is a professional dog groomer with over 2 years of experience! Prior to becoming a dog groomer she worked with sled dogs in Alaska and in our doggy daycare. Laura takes the time to make sure that your dog has the best experience at our salon and will always go the extra mile to make sure our clients are 100% satisfied. Ronni is our bath and brush stylist for our four legged friends out there that are just looking for a nice clean up pampering session but does not require any trimming. She started working at Pet Friendly in 2018. You can also find Ronni on the sales floor and in our doggie daycare as well! Jocelyn has been grooming since February 2020 and is currently working towards her grooming certification. She owns four dogs: two Newfoundlands, one labradoodle, and one pit bull. Cynthia took animal science at Genesee Valley BOCES and was taught grooming there for two years. She has worked as a kennel attendant/bather and has also worked at a vet hospital and was taught a lot about animal behavior.
